Authors are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations for the 7th European Congress on Tropical Medicine & International Health.

Abstracts can be submitted on the following topics:

Track 1: Infectious and Neglected Diseases

1.1 Malaria
1.2 HIV/AIDS, TB and Sexually transmitted infections
1.3 Neglected diseases
1.4 Vector borne diseases
1.5 Diarrhoeal diseases
1.6 Bacterial diseases, pneumonia and respiratory infections

 
Track 2: Women’s & Children’s Health

2.1 Maternal, Sexual and Reproductive Health
2.2 Neonatal Health
2.3 Children’s Health

 
Track 3: Chronic Diseases

3.1 Chronic Diseases
3.2 Tobacco
3.3 Cancer
3.4 Environmental Health and Climate Change
3.5 Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes, and Other Chronic Diseases

 
Track 4: Health Systems & Resources

4.1 Health Policy and Financing
4.2 Innovation and Technologies for Global Health
4.3 Health Systems, Human Resources and Access to Care

 
Track 5: Global Migration, Conflicts & Population Health

5.1 Global population movements (visiting friends and relatives -VFR-, migratory flows & pilgrimages)
5.2 Health care policies & social determinants of health in migrants
5.3 Infectious diseases (HIV, TB, Chagas disease) and mental health in the migrant population
5.4 Health in conflicts & refugee population
5.5 Travel Medicine

 
The Scientific Committee will evaluate all submitted abstracts. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference abstracts book (Tropical Medicine & International Health) which will be offered free of charge to all the participants.

Guidelines for submitting your abstract:

  • Your abstract can not exceed over 300 words.
  • Your abstract should be structured by the following form: brief introduction, methods and materials, results and conclusions.
  • All authors must be shown with their full name and surname and the institution/organization they work for.
  • The language used must be English.
  • Authors must select the track and topics where their abstract should be included. Please note that the final classification will be made by the Scientific Committee.
  • Authors should select the type of presentation they wish to make (oral or poster, or poster only). Please note that the final decision will be made by the Scientific Committee.
  • Abstracts must be submitted online on the Congress website.
  • Abstracts sent by e-mail, post or fax will not be accepted.
  • The abstract submission deadline is June 3rd, 2011. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.
  • All abstracts accepted and published must have a registered presenting author.
