The Organizing Committee of the European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health ECTMIH 2011 is looking for students of Health Sciences and/or studies related to the congress topics who want to collaborate as volunteers in the organisation of the congress. The committee would like to find individuals with enthusiasm, energy, commitment and responsibility to support the congress organizing team. Volunteers will be split into different working groups, each one led by a coordinator. Tasks will vary depending on the needs required at each moment and taking into consideration the abilities, preferences, availability etc., of each person.
Volunteers’ tasks will include:

Maintenance and supervision of the session room assigned to the volunteer (audiovisual material, wireless internet, room programme, etc.)

Assistance and guidance of delegates inside the congress venue (Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona – CCIB)

Issuing congress materials to delegates.
Requirements for taking part as a volunteer:

Attend a preparatory meeting in July 2011.

Availability to attend preparatory meetings on 13 and 14 September 2011.

Availability from 3 to 6 October 2011.
Volunteers will receive the following compensation for work carried out:

Free registration to the congress allowing volunteers to attend scientific sessions in their free time.

Diploma certifying participation in the organisation of the congress.

Lunches on the days of the congress (3-6 October).

Transport local ticket.
-
Accommodation and transportation expenses will not be covered by the Organizer Committee.
